Andersen Windows
Some BIG ideas I developed that span across different media types and audiences
Andersen Brand Central Intranet Website
This is a hub for Andersen employees to learn about why the brand is important and how it spans across every touchpoint. Because the audience is very diverse, a standalone traditional website didn’t seem adequate. This is also the hub for the brand tool kit and houses all of the logos for the outside brand agencies.
The BIG idea: I created an introductory video for each section of the portal that was attention-grabbing and delivered bite-sized information to anyone viewing – even if they didn’t have a marketing or design background. With a limited budget, I partnered with a sound designer to create custom music for each video. I designed the home and landing pages, using existing photography to reduce cost.

Stormwatch Sell Sheet
Each window product has a sell sheet to help builders and sales people understand key features and newness.
The BIG idea: Instead of using a schematic drawing to showcase this new product, I art directed a photo shoot to help sell the window by creating a beautiful interior space in a home.
Coaster Invite
The International Builders’ Show is a large gathering of all types of people from the building, window, trade, sales and related worlds. The problem: every vendor and booth has many giveaways and we wanted something that stood out, was functional and not wasteful.
The BIG idea: I designed this coaster that was given to select audiences as their invitation and ticket to the Andersen Hospitality Suite, where food and drink were served.
Replacement Window Display Alcove
A new display component was needed to showcase replacement windows and product displays, to avoid housing paper copies of brochures that need refilling.
The BIG idea: This design shows one window, featuring the interior and the exterior sides of the window with unique wall pairings. Static product panels are mounted on each side of the display, that can be changed out as products evolve over time.
Home Show Invitation / Information Card
The invites were sent out to advertise the upcoming home shows for select audiences. The problem: how do we highlight both new and remodel projects without making one sound inferior?
The BIG idea: I designed a two-sided informational card. One side for new and one side for remodels. Both sides featuring construction builds with lists of products used for each project and key builders and architects.
Educational Display
As new products are developed, there is a need to explain the key features and newness for guests walking through the product development area.
The BIG idea: I designed a wall mounted dimensional display that is interactive. It has parts that swivel, handles that move and cross sections of new materials to showcase the design behind the windows.
Product Guide Reinvention
The product guide has traditionally been a printed catalog of detailed information for builders, sales and trades people. It is cumbersome to look through and hard to find information that is needed – but, too detailed to post all of the information online.
The BIG idea: I developed a poster that could be hung for reference and could easily be folded up to bring on sales meetings or on-site. While people were shocked at the idea of throwing out the catalog idea, it gained popularity quickly and shifted the way people starting working more efficiently. Supplemental launch books were created as needed to help support new products.
